Archival influences, reimagined

Archival references are reimagined through a contemporary lens, drawing inspiration from historic textiles, illustrated manuscripts and nineteenth century documents to create a collection that feels both timeless and relevant. Softer organic forms are balanced with more structured patterns and subtle texture, while stitched and layered details inspired by traditional techniques such as suzani embroidery add depth and craftsmanship. 

Kendal captures the graceful movement of fern fronds against a linen ground, while Fulwood reworks a nineteenth century archival document into a striking interlocking coral design. Olander interprets traditional suzani textiles through richly textured crewel work and layered colour, while Aubrey Stripe combines block printed motifs with embroidered detailing to create a relaxed stripe with a handcrafted feel.
